What led me to read this book was twofold. Niebuhr's statement certainlyĪpplies to the work of the Irish which comes down to us today filled with faith, love, and hope. Or the newspapers, when in truth the opposite is the norm. That is true or beautiful or good makes the Best Seller List immediately or the Talking Head Shows on TV They act as if they believe that everything Overlooked by the majority of people in the world, up until now.
